How do you keep calm when speaking to a knob...?

I love sales, I hate it sometimes but the majority of the time I love my job.

There are times however when I speak to some people who are just unnecessarily rude to the point that I would like to call them out of their name.

How detrimental is it to call a spade a spade when they are acting like a spade?

And, does anyone have any techniques that they go to when you feel yourself losing it with someone?

If someone is being an asshole I like to call it like it is. Saying something along the lines of "I'm getting the feeling that you don't really want to be having this conversation right now, should we end things here?" is a good way to call them out while still being mature and professional.

Part of the job is how I look at it. If someone is being that much of an ass 9/10 times they are not worth it and I'll tell them I don't think this is going to be a fit. Always better to take the high road.

I agree and I know every profession has to deal with their fair share of them and I also know that some people just have a bad day, however, there are some who are just a jobs worth and I think they feel they gain worth from being an ass.

It's a shame that some people gain worth from being an asshole, but those people are def out there.

Something that helps me is keeping in mind that them lashing out at me is more a reflection of them than of me.

If they lash out, that's how they are, their reflection isGot to next one saying to this one openly that you ain't a fit

Knowing that everyone struggles, every single day with something. There is good in the worst of us and bad in the best of us.
