I left my last company because I had no idea what direction I was headed there, and my manager was as lost as I was. I try to stay forward-looking and see if I'll be happy there long-term.

It’s either one of two things 1) it’s making you miserable because of something out of your control like shitty leadership 2) your not challenged anymore and there is no place at your current company to be challenged

When you find yourself miserable, full of anxiety, unable to sleep, and it’s affecting the relationships in your personal life. Time to move the fuck on.
Granted, I know this sounds like the general feeling of working in sales, but in my case I’m not miserable, but I do have anxiety Because I want to be number one! I am able to sleep despite the pressure. And I have a great boss and I manage a fantastic team. My wife of course digs the money.
So I consider myself Balanced.
Hope this helps.

You know when, and only you know. Loss of interest, just doing the minimum, no belief in the company, its future, or your future there........

When you're not learning anymore or getting valuable experience that's unique to your role. Sometimes even if it is shitty, but the experience is one-in-a-lifetime (e.g. my colleague who was the chief of staff for the President of Alibaba for 2 years), it's worth sucking it up and staying to get the experience, the network, and get that credibility before jumping ship.
