How do you prefer your SEs get involved in deals?

I've worked with a few that love to act like another AE is working the deal (hate that), and others that are there to demo, kick of POCs, answer security questions...but don't you dare stick them with a pricing question or they will never work with you again. Thoughts?

How do you prefer your SE to get involved?

My SE is incredibly bright and can explain things very well on a technical level. Also helps that he has a soothing sort of voice. See LockPicking Lawyer on YouTube for a pretty dead ringer. I will leverage him anytime I can and handle all of the business end of things.

I'll handle the opening coin flip and the post game handshake, but he's calling the plays in game.

Sales Managers often assist AEs in closing sales (sitting in on demos, providing support in pricing calls etc). What can SDR Managers do to provide similar support?
