๐Ÿ”ฅ How do you prevent yourself and your teams from burnout at work?

We are in the dynamic world of sales, where every minute, every phone call, every email matters and can make or break our bonus bill..

But hey! recharging the batteries are essential too. I personally have been trying to encourage my team to take holidays properly and do not go to the edge of burnout.. However, I've been keep failing on this with 40+ holiday allowance days to use on my balance.

How do you guys try to find that "best time" for closing the shop and enjoying holidays?

One of my earlier Leaders instilled in me the mentality that I have today. I don't know why it easier for me to disconnect from work. When you are in off hours, don't pick up your phone. When you are on vacation, adhere to strict rules you set for yourself. I don't do any proactive work. And the only reactive work I do is for open opps in stage 4 and beyond

If you have a team meeting, encourage everyone to take it outside without video and even go for a walk. Make little things like this common practice. Help employees feel comfortable taking a few minutes for themselves away from the screen. If you build a culture where we get our work done but it's okay to take a break, it'll have a lasting impact.

Competitions have helped with me. Make sure to have team activities out of the office. Everyone needs a break from the grind with their team.ย

Our C-suite has given all of our employees Friday afternoons off for the rest of the summer. It's only a half day per week but it really does make an impact on the length of the weekend. Feels like a long weekend every time

Global Manager - Sales Enablement
- Open up the conversation of burnout and emotional intelligence, some people could use some insight on it, what it is, and understanding it personally.ย

- Schedule breaks in, rewards in, etc. I have my team take a 15 minute break 3 times a day (this is apart from bathroom/lunch/whatever) and we do something to detach from the work. Sometimes it's playing a game, sometimes I tell them to just leave their desk for 15 minutes, etc. Then we follow them up with power hours to get back into the groove. You can even schedule these things FOR your team.

- Help them set goals personally and professionally, goals are awesome and keep you active.ย

I allow my team to work as they please. I have never questioned PTO and immediately approve it, allow sales members to take off without question, and I don't challenge them when they need to come in early or leave late. Sure, this is all against my companies policies, but I am a cool manager and my team performs well because of it.ย

I think the hardest thing for me is to stop doing (whether that be work, cooking, or checking Bravado) and get to being and relaxing.ย

It really comes down to stopping performing all the time, and just sitting and being with yourself while relaxing.ย

Super hard stuff.ย
