How do you scale good (copy)writing?

When you manage SDRs and AEs who prospect, its 50% gathering information, and 50% copywriting.

There are lots of information tools, news, alerts, competitors, tech usage, you name it. Some tools even provide you with specific hooks around the pain that you solve.

The second part of the equation is good copywriting - reps need to translate that hook or their 'point of view' and relate it with your value prop. Now that's highly variable - writing ability varies wildly, and its very hard to train on. What are some tools/processes that worked for you to help make this ability consistent across your team?

As a previous professional copywriter (startup and freelance), there aren't many "tools" to help with quality handwritten copywriting. Some things are just at the moment.

If you're trying to quantify the writing your sales team is doing, there are things like GMass, Dux-Soup, or an engagement platform like Outplay or SalesLoft, that would make the lead-gen process easier (resulting in better-personalized messages).

Your last option is to create a template database where they can save their own handwritten templates to respond with. In this case, the only tool you need is Google Docs for them to draft on.ย
