How do you sell tech to the technically-challenged?

As a tech-obsessed salesperson living in the Bay Area, I like the technical sale and geeking over products and features to get my prospects excited about how we can help them.

I consider myself very capable of explaining tech to non-technical people, but there are always going to be issues especially when you're selling something to small business owners who "like doing things the way we've always done them."

What are some strategies y'all use to convey the value of a tool that your prospect may never be able to fully comprehend? Or is this a dead lead even though there's a very strong argument from a business and fit-perspective?

The scissors to your neighbor’s obnoxious wind chimes.
Try explaining it as your prospect does x and y happens because of your amazing shit. Ex: you take out your cell push a button and in 5 minutes a Mercedes pulls up and takes you away (ex of uber)
