How do you speed up a consultative style sell?

In my industry (tech) the product we sell typically takes around 9 months from initial discovery to close.


I've sold into all verticals and started a sales cycle with all personas but always find myself 3 quarters out and have utilized methodologies such as Sandler and the Challenger method.


These deals close bigger with more buy in from the business but never faster.


Any advice?

I donโ€™t have a ton of experience in that long of a sales cycle... but Iโ€™d probably say asking the right questions and then asking leading questions so you are taking the customer where you need them to go.ย
