How do you use LinkedIn Sales Navigator?

What are your main use cases? I'm not 100% familiar with all of the tools and feel like I'm not quite getting full usage out of it.

Strategic Account Executive
I use it to build out lists within the Strategic Accounts. I name one VIP, which includes the CISO's and VP's in my accounts. These are my high priority leads. From there I build a list of my second tier targets along with a list for my SDR to prospect into.

I need to ensure that companies leverage specific technologies for our product to work. With that, I search an account, then click to see all employees, from their I search specific titles and search through 5-10 employees to see what they have listed in their job descriptions and endorsements/skills to ensure the company will be a fit prior to looking at their careers page.

There are tons of videos on how to use sales nav on LinkedIn learning. It is my favorite tool- create lead lists for customers you want or have to see what they post. Save contacts to see if they change roles to new companies in your area or post something that can help you sell to them. I use connections to get warm intros to new contacts. Also, I see if they have any old roles that I can use my connections for more info. Lol pro stalker over here.

Aside from just adding people to Salesforce I like it for getting a view of growth rate, buying committee, and things like who follows my company or knows people internally for intros. I also like the list building to find previous customers I can reach out to and things like that

I didn't figure this out until way too late but, if you're looking for a very specific ICP, you can really improve searches in Sales Nav using logical operators like AND, OR, NOT, etc. Just have to put them in all-caps in the search bar

When you have identified the ideal buyer profile and buyer persona - Sales Navigator is a very powerful tool to narrow the search.ย

Identifying the ICP/IBP has been my current company's biggest hurdle. It's all over the place. Still think that would be effective?

oh :/ In that case, going back to the basics would be desirable. Without a clear path of who are you selling to, the tool you're using for prospecting is not relevant at all.ย

it's a complementary tool - use it with your lead gen team. Leverage extra tools such as zoominfo, seamless, owl.. dont put all the eggs in one basket

I use it to get an idea of a prospects tenure (to see if they have any decision making power)
