How does the Experiences Work

Curious, if anyone has done the French Laundry/Pebble Beach prize in the commission store. French Laundry is one that I told my fiancé about and one we for sure want to do, however we are really confused on how it would work. Is it actually just a gift card for x amount, we get reimbursed, or is it all pre-paid with our reservation? We both have watched Thomas Keller cooking lessons and I love the movie Ratatouille which he was a big part of, so we talked about going there all the time

I also have the same thought about Pebble Beach, I have played there and told we needed a 3 night stay in order to guaranty we will play 18. But I assume this prize isnt also a stay at the resort.

Curious if anyone has done any of those, before I save commission for a couple months to do them
