We do the same thing Memorial day to Labor Day. But my SDR knows better than to set meetings for Friday afternoon in the summer. :)

If my reps are pacing/at goal and hit goal the month prior, they can leave at 12pm Friday.

Funny you say that, been seeing a few people on LI recently talking about 4 weeks and how you get more done.  I personally think it would work for me, how about you?

I think it works great. I feel like my company cares about me when they trust me enough to give me a 7 hour Friday so in turn I work harder to produce results😎

A good poll would have a few options to capture all of the buckets. And for that reason, I'm out.

Also 3pm.

If I don't have anything urgent, and my number is all good, 2-3 hours early.
But if I have a busy week next week, or I'm not exceeding, Friday afternoons are for planning.
It's situational

Usually 1-2 hours earlier as long as I don't have any urgent tasks. This weekend is a long weekend for us so most people are mentally checked out by lunch time.

Thats what i find, most are mentally checked out by lunch even if the company expects you to leave at the normal closing time

Yeah, I'd like to see half day Fridays at my company. Even management admits Friday afternoons are unproductive for people across the board. If a rep wants to work because they have actual stuff to get done, go for it. But I don't see the point in sitting there pretending to work for three hours because it doesn't make sense to start a new project/cold call/all your admin is done/you're just mentally done for the week.

100% agree.  Then again I ended up working on half hour longer this evening anyways to get stuff done.  Swings and roundabouts

I usually take a half day. Bust my ass off in the morning and take off. I live in Mountain time but all my accounts are based in Eastern time zone so it works out for me.

Time zones makes a huge difference for sure.  My current role is dealing with far east in the morning and USA in the afternoons so it doesn't work so well here

Some of the best prospect conversations happen between 3-5pm on Friday! Everyone's looking forward to the weekend, and your call/email lands when there's not a lot of noise. It's definitely worth working til the buzzer for me.

Get your work done and you can leave whenever. I like to have an atmosphere of trust where you can come and go as you please as long as you're hitting your numbers. If not, keep grinding.

At my company, we don't have any internal meetings on Fridays which leads to me being more productive so generally, I'm out a bit earlier than other days which is a nice refresh

Busy morn Friday's I usually leave most of my campaign review calls till a Friday ( ppl in a better mood ) and finish up about 3 to catch some admin and wind down. That is in an ideal world once not chasing pipeline after 3pm I'm out! Our Company gives us "You days" once a month take a Friday off company-wide so the 4 day week is working well for us.

Hey thats a great idea "you days".  So once a month you have a 4 day week.  Can you take off any Friday or is there a designated Friday everybody takes off?

Every Friday off at my company (so long as it doesn't interfere with reasonable business needs) So if a client/prospect wants your time it is what it is. But the lack of internal meetings as a result of the policy is enough to make it a great benefit.

I'm really interested in this model and how it works for other companies, has the company gone on to be better since implementing it or has it always been this way?

I've been in the firm for 15 months, and our business is squarely in the crosshairs of the Rona so it's hard to gauge any meaningful insight from this time period. That said it is baked into the ethos of the culture (SV startup enviro) so it's fundamental to the org to have a "pause". Historically it's been 2x a day for 20 min then every 6 weeks a full day. Over covid it moved to alternating Fridays and then every Friday (still the 2x a day 20 minute blocks). The challenges are everything you would expect if you have client facing business spread across timezones, people comped against call activity (calls dialed, etc) and quota carriers.

That said, the science is clear here that it provides a true net benefit to overall health and wellbeing to pause and manage stress appropriately. If that's a value of the org (not killing your people), then it's worth the effort IMO. Happy to talk more offline about specifics of implementation, science behind it, ROI etc if that's of interest.

The workplace is the 5th leading cause of death in the US.

Once I'm done prepping for Monday it's pint time.

Nobody is useful on a Friday aft, champs won't complete tasks, C's/VP's don't want to hear from me etc

My company is Australian (not a flex, fun accents are one of the few non-traditional value-adds so far) so if we're going out to happy hour that night our bosses encourage us to start drinking in the office around 3:30 or 4 😂

Worked for an amazing start-up a few years back. The office location was right in the heart of the CBD. Friday would come around and the beers and whiskey would be cracked open at 3-4 pm and most of the team would hang out till 7 pm having a great time. Miss that company.
