How has the past year of pandemic changed your planning and morning prep routine?

For me there are multiple levels of prep for success each day. Plan the year, quarter, month, week, and day... prep for the week happens on Sunday and prep for each day begins the night before. I am up no later than 6am and in my office by 7am.

How has the past year+ of pandemic BS changed your planning? Has it changed and your morning routine and if so, what is the biggest change and do you feel it is an improvement?

WFH has made it easier for me to control my environment from wake to shut down for the day. I can choose more of what I want to happen as opposed to commuting delays, my favorite coffee shop has a long-ass line, etc. As they say, if you can control the inputs, you can better predict the outputs.

Has your time management process changed or are you just more in control?

I can spend more time in my work frame of mind rather than fielding social visits or random questions at my desk that I'd get when in an office. I don't think my daily workflows or time management style have changed, but my ability to execute has increased.

Yep... I have experienced the same thing.  My focus is better and less interrupted.

WFH here. I'm better rested. I live an hour away from my office, so on a good day, was waking up at 5:30 or 6:00 and leaving by 6:45 to be on time. Now I wake up at 7:00 and punch in at 8 in a much more relaxed state. You'd be surprised how an hour in traffic before you get to work can negatively affect your day.

Gaining two hours is huge even without the hassle factor.

WFH: No commute, work out more and generale feel more prepared for the day.

an other big benefit, I cook more --> healthier food choices

Planning my day/week wise, not a lot has changed.

It got worse for me... Find it hard to stick to a rhythm when I can't go to the office - so I wake up at different times, have been neglecting exercise and find it hard to unwind in the evening times.

But hey - getting a new office space soon so that should make me get back into it

Curious... do you have a dedicated "home office" space or are you hanging out in various spaces?

Life is so much better without a commute and the option to whip up a good breakfast on my own time.

My commute was an hour each way and it’s so much better to not have to do that.
