How I got a 30k raise?

what up nerds! so i recently got a 30k raise, how did I do it?

I have been with the company for about a year or so as an AE. Closing 1 deal a month since I started. I got a new boss 6 months ago, been asking him for a raise and a SAE title bump from my AE role but he had been toying it around. 

So, one day I moved my 1-1 from a friday to a Wednesday evening on that Wednesday morning. My boss jumps on the call and goes "hey is everything okay, I see you moved the 1-1"

" I told him I got an excellent offer over 33k from my current base. but wanted to talk to him before I accepted it"  (never had an offer, it was fluff)

He immediately went let me talk to HR and come back to you. Calls me back after 30 mins, I dont pick up the call (power move I felt) then slacked him hey did you need me ;P. He said " I got the title change and we will make ur base to 85k. How does that sound?"

I said "That sounds great. But I woul like to see a 9 infront of the base doesnt have to be 93k but need a 9."

Here we are boys. 90k base with SAE titlee!!! lfgoooo
