Not sure how much intel you'll get here on an anonymous forum other than vague "I used to know people".
One other suggestion is to see if you can message some reps (past and present) on LI and ask if they'll give you any info about the company. It worked when someone reached out to me regarding my current company - I filled her in and we ended up having a nice call before her interview.
