There's no real way to quantify this. I'd say you're "experienced" whenever you can successfully run your own deals from start to finish.ย

Experience comes from time tho. Running your own deal from start to finish is based on how skilled you are because of your experience.

Cool...spend 20 years NOT getting your own deals done then and let us know how good of a sales career you've had?ย

I'm with Paddy on this, if you can successfully run and close your own deals you can say that you are experienced.ย

I'll even take it a step further and say that you can say your experienced when you realize that each deal is unique and will require something different from you (at times) to get them done.

it's not about time. To paraphrase the great jeff foxworthy: If you've become completely numb to rejection, you might be an experienced salesperson.

If you've ever been completely composed on the phone only hang up and to scream "god damnit" after losing a deal, you may be an experienced sales person.

If you've been fired from a sales position, you might be an experienced sales person

If you've refreshed docusign 30+ times an hour, you might be an experienced salesperson.

Joking aside, when you realize you've basically need 3-4X pipeline of your quota, know what you need to do to achieve that, and don't trust any deal is closed until the ink is signed then you're experienced
