How long should a demo actually be?

I’m on the fence on this. I have seen that when demoing products at every company I see the same things. Prospects get very bored because most of the products look the same when comparing our competitors. Either that or it’s overwhelming the noobs. Even when demoing just the parts that apply to them to make it relevant it’s still not anything special. Thoughts?

15 minutes to an hour depending on the product. Demos can be boring but your energy presenting can have a huge impact on the prospect's engagement.

I think the average attention span in meetings is 15 minutes, so I'd keep it 15-30 and make it as interactive as possible.

It entirely depends on the product, but anything longer than 30 minutes I find is too long. I tend to lose engagement

I see most demos lasting 30 minutes. Depends how in depth and if the customer wants to talk a while.

30-45 mins for me. Makes sure a short ppt+demo+qsns are exchanged

That all depends on your product. Some stuff is super complex and demo's can be longer, some shouldn't be longer than 15-20 minutes. My last company a disco call and demo all in one was like 30 minutes max. Now demo's are usually multiple meetings to demo different pieces of the puzzle and how it can accomplish various things. There is no one correct answer to this question.

I do. I sell saas but it’s not so complex that I can’t talk about the product. I imagine it depends industry to industry and sometimes product to product.
