How long should I wait to break up?

With previously engaged prospects that have collaborated for hours on the process and then suddenly ghost, how much times do you reach out before breaking up?

Schedule a calendar invite. Send the meeting link. If they totally ghost that punt for a little while.ย

5-10 custom touches to re-engage and also throw in a few touches that don't ask for a meeting or to re-enage, ie) send an interesting article related to their business, congratulate them on an achievement you read about their company or them personally. basically never "break-up"... put in a nurture campaign instead

Have to remember that the prospect is human too. They may be ghosting because they got side tracked with another project, or maybe they've totally lost interest. More often than not though, I've found that people tend to ghost when they don't have an update or don't want to look stupid for not making progress from when you last met.

So, what to do? Send an email/call and leave a vmail saying something to the tune of "Haven't heard from you in a bit, and totally get it if there are no updates. Just want to make sure I'm lockstep with you and your timeline..." and if possible make a call back to something personal (ex. "hope the online Enya concert was as cool as you made it sound!").

If no response to this kind of outreach, safe to assume that either they are truly too swamped to even answer you.....or more realistically they've moved on and so should you.

8-12 touches... I'm doing 8 touches over 30 days now with the eighth being the break-up. CTA on breakup too.
