How many hours are you really working each week?

I'm in outside sales and I'd say I work maybe 30hrs a week and still regularly over achieve. Don't get me wrong, during those 30hrs I'm grinding hard af and even some after hours.

I'm getting tired of people telling me, oh you have it easy, you don't even work that hard, etc. Just because I don't waste 10hrs a week coordinating a the team potluck or wasting time listening to some new bullshit vendor training, doesn't mean I'm not staying on that daily grind.

How many hours a week does it take you to get to quota?

Efficiency in driving results should be rewarded!

I worked a job where I truly spent 50-60 hours a week hustling my ass off as the only sales person covering a global territory. That lasted until I could hire 2 reps to work for me, and even then I was spending closer to 40-50 hours between working strategic deals, managing them, and working with our exec team on strategy.

On the other hand, I worked a CPG job that only needed 20ish hours of truly focused work per week and the rest was spent hanging out with my clients and shooting the shit during site visits (gyms). I consistently hit quota, lead the team, etc, but figured out how to maximize my time.

Good question, I'm not too sure but I'd estimate I work about 5-6 solid hours per day and am doing well for myself. The rest of the time is spent on meetings/shooting the shit/casual prospecting while reading the odd article lol. I could definitely work harder...I find my motivation decreases in the summer.

I'm the same way! I work much harder during the cold weather months. Mainly because I know I'm only going to be putting in 20hr weeks once it's warm out. lol! Thanks for the feedback:)

I've worked legit 10 and worked legit 100 trying to close massive deals. It all depends.

Fellow outside sales. I can pull 3-8 hours in a week, or I can work 90. It's feast and famine, but when it's busy I don't complain.

Had a 1-1 with my Executive team today,

The team is getting stuff ready for next year, we got this. Everything in pipe will get closed/won.
