It varies... I definitely put in big hours when it's needed and I'm juggling a bunch of deals. When I have things under control, I don't hesitate to close up early. I absolutely hate the phrase 'your the ceo of your territory' but it is essentially true- I don't have anyone to pass the buck too when I'm required to execute on a bunch of work, so that gives me justification to collect back a few hours here and there when appropriate.

Absolutely need to be the boss of your business. I just started a new role with a new territory and have spent 60+hrs over the past 3-4 months but I expect it to back down over time. Ultimately if I don't close the business its my pay that's effected but working to be efficient and potentially even outsourcing is worth looking into

Sure you're going to look stellar, but for how long. You make it the norm, and the time you finally tap the brakes for work/life balance or burnout, it'll be reflected in your reviews.
My jr folks want to work really hard, they want to impress me, but once they hit 7.5 hrs. No matter what, I will tell them to log off. Close. Go home. Stop working.

At least 7 every day. I take an hour for myself to workout and help kids with school and shit but make it up at night most nights which makes 8 typically a day, 7 guaranteed.

Automate lots of busy work. Delegate busy work that could be learning for jr. folks.

Just had a meeting with our VP of Sales who admitted the human brain can really only focus for 4-5 hours. Which seems just about right
12 to 16. Maybe 8 or so on weekends.
Depends on time of month or quarter and pipeline situation.... could be 6 hours could be 12. Probably averages to around 10ish. I like money so i dont mind working extra hours if i know it means more 💵💵💵
