How many mins a day are you putting into your social selling?

Currently going through Sales Development Cracking the Code of Outbound Sales for my first time and I've approached social media wrong all along, especially the obvious being LinkedIn. I've always tried to go about it like going through posters on a wall and catching someone's attention by posting something cool about your product and done.

In the book, it says that 20 mins a day on LinkedIn and having deliberate goals like:

Follow 3 prospects.

Comment on a relevant post.

Like one relevant post.

Publish one update.

Connect with new prospects and include a personal note.

Publish a long-form post weekly.

And to be honest I've never done any of that except like a post and connect with prospects. And well I can see how going about this strategy like this would work when one is consistent.

The only thing I would disagree with is to write a personal note when connecting with prospects.

I don’t think buyers buy based on social equity.  Posts and connections look and smell like sales pitches.

I feel like engaging with your prospects works really well. I think people are more susceptive to having a meeting as you've already 'given' them something in the form of engagements (you know, were all longing for confirmation on the internet - call them internet hoes if you will) and therefore they're more likely to give you something back.

Make sure it's meaningful though!

I just follow my main prospects and if there´s something I could interact with or congratulate them with I´ll do it. Everything is good to reconnect with those prospects.

I´m not really a content creator or anything.

Me neither, but it seems that most people that create some sort of content are more successful. Just how I see it everywhere now, not just in sales.
