How many of you AEs out there and aspiring AEs feel like you don't get enough demo / sales training from your company/leadership?

A part of me feels like this is on purpose for 2 reasons.

1.) if they instruct you on how to demo and it doesn’t work out it’s not their fault

2.) individuals have different ways of getting from point A to point B. I don’t think you want everyone to be carbon copies of each other.

does this mean you're not getting the training, or you are?

Id rather get the training to know where it is good and what needs to be corrected.

Hey man sorry to hear that you black resources. In one of my previous companies I had the same issue but the best way that I found was to make a good relationship with other AEs and they would definitely have the session recorded and send me. Also, I use to schedule practice with many reps internally upfront. I am still getting better but that's the approach I had.

I'm going to piggy back on this.  If you like the company and the solution, and you want or need to find a way to make it work, other AEs are your best resource.

Even if I have great enablement from the company or from management, the AEs, who are the first line connection to the customer, can be your best friend for assisting with what's working and not and the most effective messaging and processes for your solutions.  Tap them where possible.

Has anyone taken any sales training from the Sandler Sales System? My company is putting me through their program right now, and it seems like they say the same thing over and over again...?

If you join a SaaS company and thrive at the beginning due to inbound leads and good SDR and then sales start going down due to a change of SDR and less inbounds, does that mean you’re not a competent sales person or does it mean it’s time to move on to another company?
