If I see a change in a contact I try to make it right away (aka if they left the company or joined a new one) but other than that maybe only a couple times a year I look through and make sure they are still valid

scrub as in finding out what contacts are still relevant like still work at the company, good email, stuff like that.

I do it ad hoc, but never devoted a block of time to it. That's a non-revenue generating activity.

Scrub meaning... Delete them? Update phone numbers?

What do you mean by "scrub"? Maintain data accuracy?

Scrub? Like get rid of them?ย

... Never? Should I be doing this? It seems counterintruitive.ย

I will say that I now keep an excel sheet of emails for my accounts. I spent the last year building Salesforce from scratch only to be laid off and instantly locked out of it.ย

That won't happen to me again.

Can't say I've done it much, but everyone downstream from sales uses the CRM as well so don't tend to clean up much if it closes.

Our org goes into in Zoom and downloads every contact for the company. I always throw down some "addy" and say I'm going to clean shit up. 10 min later not even addy can get me through the disaster created in the CRM

Some platforms will do it automatically if theres an updated contact, on active opps I do it all the time on the ones without active opps the honest answer is rarely.

Not often enough.

Dirty data in SF is a constant thorn in my side and sales ops is always "on it" but nothing is ever cleaned other than on an account by account or contact by contact basis...
