Constant fire drills, changing extra side projects, now we are doing BDR work with so many calls per day setting up web meetings and if we don't have 3 per week then we get yelled at in front of the team on Fridays and put into "detention" until we make up the missed web meetings. All the while trying to do my regular AE role of Enterprise sales.

So there's that 😒

I actually enjoy my manager. It’s the senior leadership rolling copious amounts of BS downhill that I don’t like. I wish my leadership knew that because of their direction, asks, and side projects... I lose about half of my week to those things rather than focusing on what drives my client revenue and growth as well as connecting and building relationships with my clients leadership and management.

I go back and forth with wanting to kill him and wanting to buy him a bottle of wine

Hahaha. It's the same for me. Sometimes he's driving me nuts, but then he gives this awesome advice, and I want to put him on the pedestal! XD

To the point I'm starting to think he's never been in a lower position before, 0 empathy. But, I get paid well and on time, so I guess its fine (crying inside)

my manager and I work well together, honest and transparent works for us. I don't act like I know it all and he doesn't try to tell/teach me all. I will say he's a bit of a nerd, but all around haven't wanted to square up....yet

My one up is awesome. I thought he was already, but seeing all the manager complaining here (not saying that it isn't justified!) makes me realize it even more.

Jesus... How the answers be so opposite? It's either "best fired" or "mortal enemy". To be honest I was expecting more answers in the middle...
