In my first 6-8 months as an SDR, it felt like quitting was a monthly cycle
Beginning on the month: number reset, now back at 0, wondering how much longer I'll do this before I get sick of it.
Mid-month: struggling to hit my number, debating whether I'm sales material, wondering if marketing or CX is a better option
End of Month: hits number, feeling top of the world, destined for being a savage

I have a fair bit of micromanagement in my company, and as much as I didn't care looking through my rose colored glasses at the start, it definitely starts to grind me down. When I'm on track to hitting my goals I can tune it out because I know that quota attainment is ammo in my pocket, but when I don't have the quarter in the bag quite yet it feels like I'm stuck missing everything - my sales numbers, and the suddenly ever-important onslaught of useless KPIs.
After surrendering to management's guidance, I put all my effort into all the metrics - think "demo to someone who's name starts with a G and has mismatched socks on a Wednesday" level stupid metrics.
It all came down to lack of trust for me. If you can't understand I've blown my goals out of the water in the past without hitting every KPI, then there isn't much trust and that's what keeps me feeling like a top performing asset. It's driven me to the brink of quitting numerous times, until I realize that the grass is always greener.

I don't think quitting has a monthly or a quarterly schedule lol. People usually feel it when it gets tough

In the first 3 months every damn day. Slowly I started to like the sales grind though and now I never think about quitting... well at least not recently.

I find after 2-3yrs I'm bored and it comes down to give me a promotion or I quit. If the whole company is terrible, screw the promotion, quit.
