To be fair - I like Popular because I was getting a bunch of commission from a comment I made once.ย 

BUT. I generally only use the "New" tab now, there have been some really good engaging posts recently, but they may only get 5 or so upvotes so they never break into the "Popular" thread.ย

Good question. I've only been on for a week, but I find myself always going to "New" just to grab the fresh topics. Its a tough line to balance.

I generally see the feed refresh pretty often based on the upvotes and other activities. But I do like the โ€˜Newโ€™ feed too cuz I feel some posts there go unnoticed for a long time if nobody engages

I think it is because the lack of upvotes on newer posts. While there is a lot of activity in the comment sections, the newer more engaging posts are not getting that many upvotes which is restricting from populating on the popular page with relevant material.ย 

Short story here, if you comment or engage in a thread, then upvote it! Or downvote too, depending on your perspective! The purpose of these features is to use them, and if we use them we will get the most out of this platform along with the content it provides.ย

Decay formula needs reworking. But if they keep getting engagement... It's popular.ย 

Polls I find get the best engagement, but needs to be reworked, with people voting getting commish, but no upvotes. So commission farming.ย 

I've been using upvote to show me what post I've read... Kind of like Reddit and the purple links.ย
