How often should you ask for / renegotiate compensation?

i have no idea how to do this. someone teach me things.

Annual is pretty standard. If you receive a performance review, Iโ€™d imagine this is the most organic point to bring it up if they donโ€™t.

This is top of mind for me too. I'd like to re-negotiate my whole OTE, but from what I hear our company has a hard pass. Take what you get or gtfo. If I were to do it, I'd look at:
How the role has transformed, if it has, since you joined (Are you being asked to do more than what was discussed at the interview)
Inflation- cost of living etc... all that crap
Market rates for comparable roles
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Your performance against quotaย 
2nd Most Important: How that compares to your team & potentially other teams.ย 

I've not done this before, so this is just ideation phase. Would love to take thoughts from others

Annually is appropriate. If there's an annual review, that's perfect. But make it known in advance that you want more. Don't overdo it but a "I think I should make X" conversation is fine.
