Are any of us selling a truly proprietary product?

I mean, really. Am I alone feeling like we're just fighting over the same dollar with a dozen other companies peddling the same products? (Content aside!) Anyone else feel like they're living in a sales house of cards?

How secret is your product's sauce?

My company's platform has the same "tech" as everyone else's, but we leverage the data differently on the services which actually saves customers a ton of money. So really it is just a different way of thinking from a VP that made us a market leader

Love this example. Are you worried it's only a matter of time before others catch on and start leveraging the data like that too?

We're a platform solution that houses several solutions in one. that is the added value of the solution rather than purchasing 5 tools and connecting them all.

also market leader in one of the main solutions we offer.

We have plenty of competitors that have a similar product, but I really believe that ours is the easiest to deploy/use. It's a lot easier to sell something that you can stand behind 100%!

I have to say I'm working on a product of my own, but I still am pretty much selling whitelabels.

yes, its in healthcare and the problem though is solution fatigue! there are so many disruptive products that come along that even though they aren't direct competitors, the provider has to pick and choose which they use.
