I mainly only have work related stuff on there solely because I reach out to prospects over LinkedIn frequently, so I want them to get a clear picture of what I do/what my company does if they scan my profile.

That and I use it as a virtual trophy case lol.

Unless it is the companies page you should have creative control. LI is facebook lite these days so not sure why anyone cares to be honest. If the company told me to change what i was doing on "my network" i would create a generic company branded page and wouldnt let them into my super awesome personal LI lol

My corporate absolutely has guidelines for everyone in the firm. They even require you to use their templates.

now, some of us have gone a bit rogue and personalized it a bit but I have been shamed by national leaders for wearing a hat in a video - no lie.

also, magically I have a one on one scheduled tomorrow with the regional leader immediately after they figured out LinkedIn stories and saw I was posting daily memes..... 😂

but fuck em. My clients and prospects are literally stealing my memes to post on their own LinkedIn pages so HOWS THAT FOR ENGAGEMENT? BUT BY ALL MEANS, IM SURE LIKING A POST IS JUST AS GOOD AMIRTIE???

I think it really depends on your goals, I use it for when my prospects look me up they see what product can do and see me a posting relevant things about the industry. I do a fair amount of company cheerleading. I don’t post anything personal or about sales, I follow a bunch of people who post about that though. My LinkedIn is constantly pointed out as the best on the team in terms of engagement.

Depends who's paying me...

I put my own personality into my LinkedIn but it's tied back to my employer to some degree.

However, your LI shouldn't be a billboard for your company as people buy from people, not brands.
