How to avoid "You're on Mute" in Zoom Meeting?

As we've all tired of hearing the phrase "You're on Mute" "I see [Persons Name] is here but we can't hear you."

What's other crafty ways to let someone know they are muted? Or they are not muted and should be?

Why does there need to be a crafty way to say it when "you're on mute" is efficient and communicates the message as clearly as humanly possible?ย

If its a colleague/partner joining your call, it sounds a bit unprofessional in my opinion to say it. Was thinking of finding other ways to notify or things to say to overcome that awkwardness.ย ย

Nah, just be straight up. "Hi <name>, looks like you are on mute."ย

or "<name> can you please go on mute?"

No need to beat around it

"Hey dickbag, I can't hear you." That usually works for me.

Calling in helps with audio quality, and if you are uncomfortable telling them to mute or it's a big call and it's awkward you can always send them a private message

I think being direct is best and straightforward. Instead of trying to be crafty

Just say it so everyone can move on. Time is short.
