Hi everyone, long stalker, first-time poster. I am the first B2B salesperson in an education company (the first successful after a false start) that is branching out to B2B offerings away from its traditional B2C market. I have created recurring revenue relationships with a few smaller orgs and 3 multi-year 7-8 figure deals with large enterprises in 3 different sectors (banking, telecom, and manufacturing). So there is an absolute solid base to build from. It is becoming glaringly obvious ( *stares in horror at calendar) that we need more salespeople and a team. However, I have been doing much of this building old school with a focus on finding and creating product fit with a basic CRM and a transcription tool, not other sales tech. My question to this group is where in the hell does one start to build out a team? Do I get a BDR-type role, expand to garner another 1-2 AMs with biz dev experience and try to build out processes? So many questions, and problems you want to have, but would love to know what resources people suggest for building out a sales team, process, and plan. Particularly good books, templates, or other similar resources.
