How to deal with an over-controlling Exec Manager

How does one deal with a Senior Executive micro-managing every little thing the National Sales team does? We have a National Sales Manager & National Account Management Leader yet still this exec wants to control and dictate everything.

Meetings are often ended with little threats about performance and yet when they are not involved the team absoultely kills it!
