I always respond with "Thanks for the reply "Name". Is it just bad timing or is there another reason? I don't want to unnecessarily follow up if it does not make sense."

This gets a response a decent amount. Doesnt usually get you to set a meeting right away but usually gives you insight to follow up in a month or call someone else with a tailored message

Yup

What I've used along these lines is a "just reply with the number of 1,2, or 3 reason (listed out) that now isn't the right time"

Yes, there are those clowns that reply "4: not interested"

I have done both, basically the goal is just to get more information since they probably wont meet anytime soon

100% agree: any nugget (including that 4) is valuable info even if just about demeanor

yeaahhh this is my least favorite objection in email. because there really is not use in responding to that.

Its normally a sign that your content just didnt resonate with them.

if you KNOW this is the right person i may just wait a few weeks and then try reaching out with a different message or a more specific pain point in mind.

if it was on a cold CALL its a little easier to handle.

You move on - at least from that specific person.
You may be able to find a different contact in that org with whom your message resonates.

You can waste A TON of time with people who aren't empowered to buy from you, so make sure you're corresponding with an actual DM.

I like to ask the reason and also probe how easy it is for them to solve problem X,Y,Z ? All wonโ€™t respond but some will.

Can you give me the example of the exact reply you have sent and got a meeting.

"Of course you're not. If you were interested you would've emailed me!"

I usually say something like

"Hey, totally understand you might not be actively looking to add any tech your current stack, most of the people i speak with aren't either.

However, I am simply looking to share my approach to the space and see if we would be able to help you in the future.

Regardless of if we take next steps or not after the conversation, I promise to make it insightful."

It's worked multiple times but it still fails most of the time as I think email objection handling is pretty difficult, especially when they give you this type of short answers with no info to work with.

This depends on sooo many factors really. What are you selling and who to? My previous job, as a full cycle sales reap selling exec training, I`d still try to maintain a relationship with someone who responded like that, because everyone gets to have some training eventually :)

I reply with "Thanks for the reply, would it be okay if I followed up in a few months to see if anything has changed?".

I have never really had great success with cold email, however if they took the time to respond (seeing how they could have just as easily not) there might be some merit in a follow up
there is a platform (maybe mail chimp?) that letโ€™s you see how long the email was opened for and different metrics like that could be worth looking into

"Thanks for letting me know! I would much rather read this as opposed to pure radio silence. Would there be a better time to reach out in the future?"

Yeah, I always send one last follow up for feedback to get a better gauge of what the issue might be and then if it is a timing problem I ask if it is OK to reach back out. I've won a couple of these that had the timing issue.
