How to deal with temporary apathy

we all go through slumps as salespeople. All of them are just a temporary phase change and usually they're followed by weeks of great productivity and potentially great success.

How do you guys push through these or keep yourselves motivated and productive through slumps or tough times?

personally, I up my gym regimen and set a day out of the week to go fishing. Sometimes I'll take my Fiancé out to a nice dinner to help motivate me. those are just a few.

PS- not in a slump right now just genuinely curious what other people do

Take 20 minutes go outside without your phone and have zero screentime. The walk outdoors helps me reset.

well, it IS open for interpretation. I mean if that is the way someone goes, then apathy cured hahaha.

Any kind of physical activity away from the phone.

All those tedious tasks that got put on the back burner due to other priorities? I get through all of those. Weirdly enough, getting just that accomplished usually snaps the slump.

A little bit of a cliché, but I overcome it by taking a deep breath and reminding myself that this is just a little fall on the way to the top to succeed! Also, keeping in mind that what happens in sales, stays in sales and shouldn't affect other aspects of my life.

First, it's good that you have few things (especially a fiance to keep you on track). Things that I do that help me keep up the motivation:

- High blast Vikings / GOT music. Anything that has Hans Zimmer in it is the blessing for me that I ever needed

- Journal my thoughts. When I journal, I make sure to put positive affirmations like "Yes, I can do this. Once i do X, I will then proceed for Y. It will be fine"

- I allow just a day of doing nothing. Nothing at all. No dopamine - that helps me realise what a dull of a life it is without dopamine. So I get my ass up. :)

Love these.
I find when I do affirmations and then set daily goals (ie. Make bed, run x miles, clean x part of house) and I accomplish those, I feel far more motivated to take on hard tasks.

It’s interesting how my life (or at least the things I can control in it) starts to fall back into place with one small step.

a combo of the right music and a walk. ether outside or on the treadmill.

then make sure you block your calendar for certain activities so you can commit to it.

I have clinical ADHD, so I totally get this. Crazy how hard it is to convince myself to do simple tasks sometimes.

You can bone suburban housewives for that. It’s been known to be used as a diet pill as well.
Adderall is great.
