How to get prospects to a texting basis?

I hear people say that sales people should be on a texting basis with their champions. How do y'all get to that point?

I actually usually get them to text ME first. During a back and forth, I just tell them to text me since it is faster than email. That way the precedent is set early.

Yep, I tell people on the first call that I will always respond to texts quickly if they need something fast.

Can be tough to get there but getting to a text level is 100% always my goal. It's not causation but a correlation for me as a sign into how well we're doing in a deal. Somtimes if the feeling is right I'll make the jump first- ex. if I'm supposed to get them something, ie collateral or resources, I'll send via email then a quick txt 'hey, it's *me* just shot you over the ____. If you can keep that channel going its usually a pretty good sign.

I tell them, "We have a lot of interest right now. My email inbox is over 30+ and I want to make sure to get their questions answered as soon as possible. It's important you're project is prioritized. What's your cell number in case you have questions needing to be answered asap?"
