How to use Hubspot as a BDR with lots of calls to make?

I'm starting a new job with a company that uses Hubspot. I'll be the first employee in an outbound prospecting role.

I've been using Close for the past two years where it's super easy to make list views based on the last time you reached out to someone, timezone, etc, but I don't know how to do any of that with Hubspot.

Outbound callers, how do you use Hubspot to make 50+ calls a day without spending 5 hours just picking through your leads?

Why can't you get Close along with Hubspot?

I might be able to integrate the two. I'll see what the boss thinks. Right now the closers are using hubspot and it looks like they're using their own phones to make dials.

Congrats on the new job buddy!

I personally like HS but there are a couple of other good tools as well.

HS is pretty cool (I don't make that many calls honestly but I'm sure HS will allow you to do 50+ a day) but the package we have give us 2000 mins limits per month so check what your company has. HS also has come limitations of international call to a few countries but if you're doing only North America you're good.

It also allows you to run multiple sequence and list management like any other tools.

Thanks! Are you doing anything for texting in HS as well? I was thinking I might integrate it with something that can call and text.

Not really, think it's on beta with HS but text ain't very useful for the business we are in so I use my personal number right now.

Set up follow up tasks as you go through your list of leads. Then call the leads the day that you set tasks for until you book the meeting/close the deal. There should be a “task” tab that will allow you to easily organize the leads that need follow ups.

Thank you!
How are you choosing what leads to have in your list? Is the list just given to you? There's probably like 30k leads i can start calling and I'm wondering how to narrow that down.

Wow 30k?! Start by trying to only target the “best fit” leads. That’s dependent on what type of account it is and what your product/solution is tailored to. Then set up tasks for those leads. If that doesn’t work then I would just spray and pray. Also, I find that accounts that have never been touched are good to go after.

Watch a few videos on Lists in the Hubspot academy. Provided the company has good data fields set up there is no reason why you can't do what you asking.

I've never used HubSpot but I have access now and I'm curious to read the responses.

I would narrow down the 30k leads that you can call.
Find the one who sells the most or sales ops, and ask what the ICP (Ideal customer profile) is. Then get your accounts for the day. Make an opp before lunch and two after :)

I used hubspot in my last org and oversaw sales ops with that, we made the transition from outreach to consolidating our tech stack to solely Hubspot from a sales outreach perspective. From my view here are a few big things to remember with hubspots outreach tool • you are able to roll through tasks, make calls directly to prospects while having their full page up (if your sales ops and marketing are aligned, and the prospect has visited company page, you can see page visit details, along with past interactions with said prospect and account) • biggest drawback is Hubspots inability to manage future tasks (ie future tasks are created and don’t allow users to forecast what touch points you’ll have with a prospect in a sequence, only show tasks that are created that day so use case would be you send out an email, then follow it up with a call in 2 days, you won’t be able to see the call tasks until it becomes due 2 days later); also you’re not able to create multiple tasks within a sequence for one day, so if you do 3 touch points in 1 day (LinkedIn, call, email), the best hubspot can do is 1 task per day Hope this helps!
