How to use LinkedIn efficiently?

I have a LinkedIn premium account and all it does is help me find people. However when I find them and send them invites, they are interested in connecting but not in communicating.

I have tried using different tonalities, words, approaches, pitches and stories but the success rate is in decimals.

Can someone help me understand how can I make a better use of my LinkedIn network (existing and potential)? Or it's always a bad ratio?

You should post inspiring (but fictional) stories like how u fought off a giant alligator using only a weed whacker and box of Oreos to motivate your network to be better human beings. I hear people love that.

Alternatively if you're a hot girl you should post a photo of yourself in club attire with a totally unrelated caption talking about proper job interview etiquette. And then complain when you get thirsty comments from men - make sure you state that this is a PROFESSIONAL website.

In all seriousness, If I do connect with them, I usually try to engage with their posts before selling them anything. When I feel I'm ready I call them, If I did a good job they remember me from LI and appreciate the call even if no sale is made. I continue to engage with them after the call through LI with no intentions to sell. I've had a few who have contacted me months later when they need my solution.

I use it just to get their linkedin url and then drop it into rocketreach to get their personal cell phones. then I call them.

Ya this has helped me tooBut I am trying to understand if there is something that we can do on LinkedIn itself to proceed further and get contact details from a proper source.

How is rocketreach, zoominfo, apollo not a proper source? LinkedIn has value but it's not the best way to contact people. Not even close.

I mean it's still calling them without their consent or prior information. But I understand where you are coming from.

you're not trying to sleep with them. consent isn't needed. you're in sales. call them.

if a rep ever comes to me and says they arent calling people because the prospect hasn't given consent yet, i'd probably have a malfunction mentally and shut down.

I think my heart rate rose 50 BPM just reading that. If someone on my team said that I would just send in my two weeks on the spot.

I wouldn't recommend trying to sell them something immediately after you connect. That would make me delete you.

It really depends on a number of things. In my experience, if your profile looks good enough (no BS), and your picking the right people your chances of getting an actual response are better. If you're pitching right after they accept your invitation for instance, chances are they will respond. If instead, you briefly introduce yourself and explain why you're reaching, that works better. Just keep it real I guess.

There is a few different things I do. I use it to look up a business to figure out who the DM is or verify maybe the location of the business, or age of the person I am trying to get a hold of. And then I will also copy their URL & put it in Rocket reach sometimes I will just message the person there too..all depends on my mood tbh

LinkedIn is so watered down these days.... Gotta find a personal contact and reach out to them a week or three after connecting.
