Be truthful and talk about basically any hobby.  There is always something you can relate to the position you're interviewing for.

If the person asking this question is asking it hoping you talk about something that is an "indicator" of success, then they are asking it for the wrong reason (and you shouldn't want to work for them).  Hopefully you are passionate about something (anything) if you are - showcase that - that's all I personally look for in this question. Does this person have enough in them to passionately care about something.   I can't tell you how many folks answer with "you know, hang with friends"

Hit the nail on the head here. As a hiring manager the only reason I will ever ask this is if I am trying to build some rapport with the candidate and just get a feel for who they are outside of work. I could literally care less what they say, I just want to find some common ground and get a feel for what they like to do. It has zero impact on my perception of their ability to do the job we are hiring for.

You can literally say anything here, just talk about whatever you are passionate about

Other thing I would add here, I see you posting quite a few questions related to interview prep, hit the search bar, there is a ton of good info already being discussed on this topic.

I personally enjoy cooking and I usually leverage that into the sales process. So following directions, learning from mistakes, patience, getting out of my comfort zone.

Any type of sport or exercise you enjoy? Usually shows grit and determination because most people have overcome some sort of injury or loss.

They want to know if you’re a human, and have a life. Tell them the truth… don’t try to wordsmith it to get brownie points. Unless it’s hookers and blow.

In general, the best answer to this question will appear that you have passions outside of the classroom. The question allows you to show that you are well trained. Within reason, it doesn't matter much what you do in your spare time as long as you do something.

I would answer with the 3 things I try to keep in mind when speaking with clients: being transparent, direct, and curious. I like to be seen as a trusted advisor with clients and prospect so I think transparency is super important. Im also direct, I don't want to waste their time or beat around the bush.
