Hubspot Marketing supporting sequence campaigns

Has anyone used a CRM marketing (IE: Hubspot Marketing Email) function in support of their on going sequences?

Any suggestions on how to best use it as a drip campaign or something else?

Hi, I am a well-established HubSpot savant.

There are two different tools to choose from, depending on your goal: Sequences or Workflows.

Sequences are based on templates, set up in the "sales" drop-down, and are fairly limited in terms of functionality. You can enroll individuals or lists, and they'll go through the sequence until they hit a goal/behavior that spits them out.

A workflow can get VERY complex but will take into account lots of different if/then statements and other behavior-based filters. You can also develop more intricate emails because you'll use the Marketing Emails template builder.

What is your goal/how much support do you have from others to build this/maintain it?

My team uses hubspot and it definitely does not feel connected. Marketing is often running sequences independent of sales sequences....the sales team does not use workflows

@poweredbycaffeine I'm fairly comfortable with the sequence portion, my idea was exactly down the avenue you were explaining with the workflows.

I'm a one man band for now so development, support, and integration all boils down to me. We'll be hiring more reps soon so I'd like to have something built out before then

My goal is to create a workflow, that starts a contact in the sequence and if it the sequence ends with no reply then they are moved to a more general nurture/marketing campaign for a couple months before being contacted by a rep again.

Have you used any of the "Marketing" functions for sales related activities?

Thoughts, concerns, and guidance all welcomed.
