Hubspot over Salesforce... Has anyone found success?

I recently joined a company that uses Hubspot for their CRM and not Salesforce. I don't want to come in without an open mind, but I have spent the last 10 years at companies using Salesforce and know how to build dashboards and run reports.

IS there anyone out there that has found success with Hubspot and/or prefers it to SFDC?

Yeah, I've had to learn to use both. I actually found Hubspot a little easier to learn.

They did pretty much the same thing for me.

Hubspot you can pretty much teach yourself imo.
As far as preferences are concerned, I think thatโ€™s more up to the individual.
Personally, I do like hubspot more.

Good to know. My apprehension only comes from a lack of familiarity

Totally, when I first came across it the same feeling arose.
But honestly, they function really similarly; youโ€™ll feel confident and like a pro in no time!

I understand your apprehension.

Was a Salesforce user for 2 years before having to switch to hubspot recently. Was frustrated at first but Iโ€™m a few weeks in and starting to love it. It seems more intuitive and Iโ€™ve picked up quicker than I thought.

I was decent at running reports in sfdc, seems fairly straight forward in hubspot thus far. Plus, I like the tool tips that are scattered around. Feels like I can get a question answered fairly quickly. My 2 cents though.

HubSpot is definitely easier to learn, and SFDC is overkill for a ton of org's.

How big is your current company?

@sahil: am I allowed to DM him/her? Or is that against the community rules?

I just recently started using SF, I used a few other smaller CRMs so I have been at a constant learning curve.
