Hybrid role between Product & Sales - does it exist?

No, not Ops.

No, not Sales Engineer.

No, not Customer Success.

Maybe Growth / Prod Ops.


This has been a sweet spot I haven’t been able to find outside of ambiguous startup roles. A blend between product/product strategy and sales.

I could see this at an early stage company, but once you begin to grow these roles are too demanding to combine. One (or likely both) facets would suffer.

Yeah that’s been my conclusion. Outside of startups / pre-IPO these roles typically are non-existent.
