Hyperinflation, what do you think will happen to your industry?

What is up sales folk.

There are some major movements afoot. What do you think about this death stroke?

I am in the tech industry and a little concerned about the "no budget" emails I will get in the near future. Should we start preparing for sales war?

Let's talk this out in the comments section, and I would love to hear from our neighboring country sales peeps too.

Market saturation with products that all have similar capabilities drives the price down for sure.ย

On the sales side, it really puts the focus on the relationship to win business but itโ€™s only getting more difficult with price wars.ย

@Ljv12ย for sure. I work in the virtual fair software industry and there used to be a handful of platforms and now since the pandemic, there are like 200+ platforms. I bet the natural resource companies are going to see a swing of growth. Software and Ai are seeing huge growth too. We might be in the age of virtual humanity now.ย

I hope humanity doesn't end up being like the Japaneseย Hikikomori. Those dudes never leave their house.ย

Exactly - right now in the tech security industry, it seems like certain industries have picked there providers and can only be replaced if they fuck up.ย

For me, itโ€™s identifying those instances but also finding new markets/industries that havenโ€™t adapted yet in order to become their provider. But itโ€™s a Warzone regardless.ย

We are slowly reaching a time where every product category can be viewed as a "commodity" and the good news is that in this type of environment process oriented, proven sales reps, leaders and organizations tend to rise up from the rest of the pack.ย  In my industry, I compete with 100 different vendors, with minimal differentiation in product, but I've found 10x+ growth in the past 5 years, while most have seen 5-7%.ย  ย I say bring it on, more money in the pockets of sellers.ย
