I am the only SDR at my company and they would like to provide sales training for under $700.. Any suggestions?

I recently started my sales journey in selling cybersecurity and still learning as I go. The only thing is I am the only SDR at my company and I.. don't necessarily have much training on basic sales technique like cold calling, emails, etc.

I have been learning on my own and did relatively well in Q4 (4 months in) and the company said they would like to give me a stipend for learning on my own. Though I utilize all the free contents on youtube, linkedin, and through books, I thought this would be a good opportunity since I am still struggling with cold calls, cold emails and prospecting.

So far, SDR Nation has caught my eye because of 1:1 coaching and community of other SDRs. I have also been looking into Pavilion, JB sales, and even Coursera.

If anyone has suggestions, it doesn't even necessarily have to be traditional training route (like MasterClass, Audible, etc) I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

💯 yes to 30 minutes. Their negotiation playbook was pure gold for closers. They’ve got awesome episodes on there too for SDRs. I use Armands cold call opener all the time for my own prospecting.

SDR life is all about IRL experiences. You gotta just continue to refine your approach day to day to optimize the best practices at your company.

Yeah, I agree that I have to keep learning as I go but also thought additional training wouldn't hurt

SDRNation is amazing. Been a member for 1.5 years now. Tons of great stuff there.

If you are given $700 for the year, I would suggest JB Sales and SDRNation.

We let ADRs expense SDRNation and we give them a JB Sales subscription. See if you can talk you company into paying both. It would only be a couple hundred more that what you are currently given. Worst case, pay for SDRNation yourself. It is 100% worth the money.

That's great to hear. Which aspect of SDRNation did you find the most helpful?

The live training sessions and a personal coach honestly. There are so many coaches with different areas of expertise. I just had a call with one today and I learned something very interesting.

SDRNation also offers a package deal to JB Sales and SDRNation for $540 ish.

Oh, sorry for not replying right away, had the covid booster shot and was on my ass for a couple days.

I will always say ignore everyone else and sit through Grant Cardone’s content.

People describe him with a whole range of colourful adjectives, and many of them are accurate.

But his core sales content, the DNA of the sales psychology he teaches is unmatched.  No one trainer/guru/coach has compiled it more thoroughly, and it’s dirt cheap.

Consume 6-12 videos a day for 6 months, and take notes while you listen. Not to review them, just to reinforce and retain what you listen to.  You’ll be unstoppable.

my company did JB sales and it was a lot of stuff that I had already picked up from a few years of selling. If you're fresh meat it could be helpful though.

I like 30 mins to pres club, JB sales, Josh Braun, and Jeb Blount. It’s a good intro and many of these people also have books other cheap resources. You could also be an idiot and go with Sandler training

go buy a couple books: GAP Selling, Eat Their Lunch
Then go listen to some Sales podcasts (too many to name).
Take notes and incorporate their sage advice into your sales game.
