I don't mean to compare my prospects to dogs, but my sales techniques follow many of the same rules as dog training

video cover

The big similarities between trick dog training and B2B Saas Sales:

  • Create a situation where they can say or do anything without failure
  • If they don't do what you want them to do, that's YOUR fault
  • Never get pissed off at them
  • Figure out what motivates them and use that to progress them to the next step

The less you push, the more willing they are to perform for you!

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Was disappointed that it wasn't a Cesar Milan video, but an upvote for dogs all the same.ย

Cesar is the man! I definitely learned a ton from watching him.

Is that why my close rates are high? Because I used to be a professional animal trainer? ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Fuck yes! Convincing an animal to submit to you requires strong persuasive skills.

And just like in sales, it has much more to do with confidence and the way you carry yourself than it does with the specific words you use.

Couldnt agree more. I give my clients dog treats after every meeting. Susan knows how to shake and sit on command now!

Has anyone taken any sales training from the Sandler Sales System? My company is putting me through their program right now, and it seems like they say the same thing over and over again...?

How many of you AEs out there and aspiring AEs feel like you don't get enough demo / sales training from your company/leadership?
