I have a “group” interview for an AE position in 4 hours

What's up fam! I landed my first 2 interviews with two tech companies in the Saas field. The interview with the first company is a group interview in about 4 hours from now. 

Does anybody have any tips or ideas to make me stand out in a group interview held via zoom call??

Tell them something they don’t already know, and ask thought-provoking questions that showcase you’re thinking about the realities you’ll face in that position.

When I interview sales people, they can crush the interview but if they have generic questions I don’t hire them. The best sales people ask tough and deep-peeling questions.

Hard to provide an example without knowing the job/industry… But questions that are prefaced with a showcase of knowledge of the employer’s industry vertical, and followed by questions about their market position, headwinds, tailwinds, and goals…. that show me they are thinking about our business as a whole, not just their individual role.

You're still also in discovery mode to make sure that this company is a good fit for you. Since the CEO is attending, you could ask some questions about roadmap, company direction, what makes them most excited for the future of the company.

Make sure you listen and are attentive and participate without being overbearing.

a group interview with other AE candidates? dang thats crazy, ive never experienced that.

I would make sure your energy level is high, take notes ON PAPER, so they can SEE you useing your pen to write things down, make sure BOTh your hands are visible if your not taking notes, it shows you are engaged.

Also, make sure to ask questions!! try to think of as many questions as possible and try to be the last one to ask a question.

I’m not sure if it’s actually with other candidates or not. It said with CEO so I’m not sure what to assume. Thanks for the feedback btw!

I have not interviewed with other candidates outside of when I interviewed to be a camp counselor in high school

Assuming it's with other candidates?

Think about what the job entails. It's not about trying to be the loudest on the call, it's about being the one that listens, absorbs, and responses confidently and with conviction.

It's not the hunger games on the call. Be respectful to the interviewer and your fellow interviewees, but be hungry, attentive and stand up and out for yourself

It was with the President and Sr VP and Sales manager. There were other candidates on the call as well but I couldn’t actually see them.

Hell yeah congrats! Have great lighting, be the most energetic and excited person in the room, have great sound, a professional background.

Know the company, the competitors, the overview of the the marketplace - bring insights and a plan to achieve the best results.

Just to answer the questions below there is no way this an interview with other candidates, it will be their key managers to avoid 4 separate interviews for you, unless you are interviewing at Larry Air. Also good luck, key questions is key
