This sucks, I feel you. I had a 3 month probation at my last gig. The MD said I could leave early to join my new company and promised me that everything would be fine regarding comission etc. Pay day came, nothing. Had to argue my way to get a tiny bit.
Company before that promised me backpay commission - they messed up and didn't pay me it all but promised it to me in halves with the second being after xmas. When the time came for the second half I had handed my notice in just before the xmas pay day, to which they refused to pay it. Got lawyers involved and they spent so long replying that legally they didn't have to pay me due to a clause in timings between leaving and acquiring the commission. Companies sometimes do not care for you!
