I love Canadians - they really are so polite

This is what I got as a reply for one of my cold emails -

Good day,

I appreciate you have attempted to reach out to me repeatedly. At XYZ, we keep all

our development in-house and within Canada. Due to tax incentives, it does not make financial

sense to outsource any of our development outside our country.

I wish you the best of luck and request that you discontinue sending me marketing emails.

So much better than "Fuck off/STOP SPAMMING ME/Take me off your list".

I wish the British market was as polite as Canadians.

For example, I had arranged a meeting with a company and the guy was really happy and chirpy, he then got covid (I think, he was ill nonetheless) and wasn't able to make the meeting.

When I finally got through to him when he was feeling fine and well...he was chirpy again and I asked when he'd like to rearrange and he straight up said 'No. I can't be bothered with talking to more companies like you, sorry, but I just can't be f*cked'.

Yes. Dropping an additional 15k on the quote without a conversation is going to most likely leave a bad taste in their mouth, maybe even be a deal breaker.
