I'm a C-level and I want to bail...

How do I know when its the right time to bail the startup that i am in?

I've been here for 2 years now and things are getting bad, when do I know if its time to jump ship and how do I get my feelers out there without anyone internally catching wind?

You can't be too afraid of someone catching wind. I've always been told that if you're doing your job right, you should be getting as many job offers as deals you close and if things are already getting bad, noone sane can blame you for looking out for number 1. I would at least start with turning the LinkedIn "looking for a job" on and start having a few calls with the recruiters that will jump on you. At the very least you'll get a feel for the market. Best of luck on the search and finding greener pastures.

If you think it's bad it's probably worse. I'd look on LI to find headhunters that fill C-level roles.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
If you feel that way, it's time to go. No use being on a sinking ship, especially one you don't particularly care about.
