I’m back, and I’m looking to tighten up my game

I left the WR about 3yrs ago because I took a job that didn’t really fit the vibe… I’m in edtech/publishing now so the sales philosophy is very different from SaaS. Anyway, it only took my new company 3yrs to fuck me on my annual bonus - so I’m

back, baby!

I’m ready to tighten up my interview game, and my resume. Hit me with anything I need to know now, that’s new in the tech-jobs-landscape-job search over the past 3yrs. I have my kids college to pay for so I need to hit the ground running and find a 90k base with 50/50 split, hopefully by December.

Referrals are king for getting in the door in tech these days. Everyone wants a hunter, so play up the resume with outbound wins and pipeline generated - let the recruiter and hiring manager know the reason you get out of bed in the morning is to break into a new account. Be prepared with how you've been "creative" to set a meeting. Don't get busted using ChatGPT live in an interview. Make a hit list of 5-10 companies you really want to work for and treat it like a sales process.

Good to see you again! Sorry to hear that you got fucked, but at least it didn't happen right away.

Unfortunately, it's rough out there. Your comp goals aren't too lofty, so hopefully you can find some tasty referrals and get in somewhere else soon.

Are you still working there while you hunt?

Welcome back! saaskicker covered the landscape well. Do you have a chance at referrals from former colleagues/managers?

Welcome back, Champ!! All you need to know is "AI" is the main word these days everywhere in SaaS. haha

Sorry that it didn't workout there. It's competitive but all you need is one job so give it your all!! :D

Returning to a community after a hiatus can be both challenging and rewarding. Re-engaging with familiar platforms allows individuals to reconnect and share new experiences. In gaming, private servers offer a welcoming space for returning players to immerse themselves in enriched environments. Exploring options at https://rsps-server.com/ can facilitate this re-entry, providing servers that align with individual preferences and playstyles. Reconnecting with communities through private servers can reignite passion and engagement.

I was hired at a really good start up about 4 months ago for a SDR role that I was told I wouldn’t be in for very long. They’re gonna go public in the next year, but Zoom Info reached out to me about an Account exec position. Now I’m wondering if I should take the guaranteed route to AE or let my shares vest and get to AE at the place that took me. Usually I wouldn’t consider jumping so quickly, but AE is AE.

I just have to tell someone… For some perspective, our overall avg order size is about 12k and yesterday I closed a 130k deal and another 50k at my next appointment. I am excited as the year has been pretty tough in my market and big sales like this help remind me I am good at this! 👏
