I'm curious if you've ever been on a PIP did you also get a severance package in case you chose to resign??

Are you facing this?

SDR
Not for performance as I lead the team in meetings set, pipeline and closed won accounts as an SDR. I got a PIP yesterday because:

- I missed two team meetings with our sales trainer this week with out letting my manager know ahead of time. I can't miss or be late to any meeting with out communication ahead of time.

-We also have to clock in and clock out and I'm bad with my punch card since I hate doing this. I can't miss any punches now.

- I perform making the fewest number of calls and they want me to make a lot more calls.

- I have not followed round robin several instances and favorited some AEs

Cmon man do yourself a favor and get your shit together. Youre good at your job but just missing on all of the easy stuff. Unless you want to be an SDR for your entire career fix this shit.

So if you want your house you should simply do the basics, yeah?

Until the last point I was thinking this is just a shitty workplace. But come on, you can’t not abide by ROE rules. It’s not right to cost other AEs money because you’re better buddies with certain ones. Thats arguably a  fireable offense alone. Regardless I feel like you should probably look for a fresh start.

Yeah I don't think I'd want to work somewhere where thats still a thing. That being said, I lost all sympathy when he said he's not following the round robin rules. Thats essentially stealing thousands of dollars from the AEs he's skipping and potentially resulting in them missing their number/going on PIPS/getting fired

I used to do a timesheet each week when at a very large chip manufacturer in their software division. I also got to log overtime...and that meant anything before 9am and after 5:30pm. You know how easy it is to rack up 1.5x pay when you're a BDR? Just gotta do your timesheet.

Ya when I started I was salary non exempt so I had to submit timesheets weekly and could just work an extra 10 hours a week, get the OT and increase my base by like 20%.

But in all honesty timesheets are so fucking easy man. Takes 5 minutes, I promise you arent that busy.

Is PIP something that all companies can introduce? I have one or two friends that have smashed it for years but one bad quarter and they are put on PIP?

Surely it should just be the 3 warnings and ya gone?

Most of the time, if you're on a PIP, you should be looking anyway.

In my experience most PIPs are not designed to be something to have you 'prove yourself' but more as a firm nudge to get you to realize it's not working out.

And if you do succeed in meeting the terms of your PIP, you're still under the Eye of Sauron, just waiting for that next PIP or WFR.

I have been put on a PIP one time in my career. I found a new job in 8 days and quit. Haven't looked back.

And no, you should not expect to get any kind of severance offer to leave. If they were taking that route, you wouldn't be on a PIP. They want you to quit and make the paperwork easy on their end.

Always!!! Minimum severance should be 3 months pay and benefits, and more realistically 6 months pay and benefits. Anything less and they're not covering their butts from wrongful termination suits

Have you ever gone and get another offer just to get more money at your current job?

I was hired at a really good start up about 4 months ago for a SDR role that I was told I wouldn’t be in for very long. They’re gonna go public in the next year, but Zoom Info reached out to me about an Account exec position. Now I’m wondering if I should take the guaranteed route to AE or let my shares vest and get to AE at the place that took me. Usually I wouldn’t consider jumping so quickly, but AE is AE.
