I'm gonna have to change my name....

....to 0percentopenrate because Good God Damn am I not getting any traction on emails right now. My team is currently using Sam Nelson's Agoge structure. Anybody got a sequence that's pulling good numbers for them at the moment?

TIA, AFAIK, IYKYK, stay frosty

I speak truth...sad but true.

Doesn't mean I don't have compassion.

Look to see if you are in an equivalent to "HubSpot jail" where your emails are just going to the spam folder. It happened to me last year.

Oh boy
Not quite sure how to do that...is that something I can do in Hubspot itself?

Also note that Apple’s new policies make receipts less reliable.

Hate this shit. Were you linked to your email direct? What level of Hs do you have (did it have HS marketing anywhere)?

Yeah, it is linked. We have all of the HS bells and whistles for sales and marketing. It pisses me off sometimes too, as competitors just flag out emails as spam if they somehow get on a list and we don’t remove them fast enough.

What's your product?

For Outreach the sass works, but I'm unsure how it would translate.

I sell quote software to enterprise-level procurement teams. As far as I can tell, getting sassy generally isn't a good move with this prospect group. They usually vibe with something more straightforward

Maybe a dumb question but do you personalize the email as step 1 and offer to solve a problem?

whats worked for me is in the subject line, use their first name , then a short question

"Bob, what are your thoughts here?"

"Bob, are you in this boat?"

something like that.

We definitely use that or something in that style for our 2nd email. Historically its one of the most opened emails

The thing about using a structure that an influencer pushes is that everyone is doing it.
You can keep a structure similar to it with that agoge follow up, but do something out of the box.
my most opened & replied to emails are the bump ones, but they're not 'thoughts?'
My top 3 are:

#1. Lionel Richie IS Waldo (<-- subject line) with attached meme
#2. GIF of Mario 'bumping' the email
#3. Are you a good witch or a bad witch? (<-- subject line) with a Glinda floating in a bubble gif

... then i write something around the idea of "It's easy to lose emails in that flooded inbox of yours. But you can't miss an email with (Lionel/Mario/Glinda) (bringing/bumping/bubbling) this back up."

Get creative, have fun with your outreach, be yourself IN your outreach and you'll see the responses coming back.

Also, change up the flow a bit. Add/remove a day between the agoge.

I still don't get how email marketing is effective.  Maybe one in 1000 might hit someone with basic need for your solution?  It just lacks the personal touch.
