I'm interviewing for Sales Ops Manager, any tips?

So, I decided to apply for sales ops manager just to give it a try, and honestly I didn't think they would call me. Well, they did. I had an initial 20min conversation with the hiring manager and next Monday I'm interviewing with the Global directors of sales.

Any tips or recommendations from other sales managers to nail the interview? Anything is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

We were recently hiring for the Sales Ops role and in general there are 2 ways to get there: 1. You have an analyst background and you know the ins and outs of systems and processes or 2. You have a sales background and understand what it takes to sell and how best you can support the team to max out revenue.

You can succeed either way as long as you lean in on your strengths and hire for your weaknesses.

that said I’m no sales manager I’m just forwarding the takeaway points around who we hired and why as I was part of the hiring process. Hope it helps!

I'd say a big question to be able to answer is why the switch to ops as well as how are you getting better at understanding what you don't know ie free trainings or learning from others in ops roles
